Artist Introduction___

To see the world as an artist does is something that only a few are capable. An artist’s work, however, can be enjoyed by a multitude of individuals.

Alina Eydel’s work displays a glimpse of what this young artist is concentrating on. Her alternate world is full of whimsical figures, bold colors, and sophisticated designs. Her canvases communicate stories of far-off lands and characters brought about by her wonderful imagination. The pencil and paintbrush have become vital tools for playing in Alina’s world. Her completed art works are evidence of the journey and provide us an opportunity to understand what she has encountered.

Alina’s creations are entirely her own, but she has taken inspiration from peers like Andy Warhol, Erte, Marc Chagall, and Fernando Botero. Although Alina is young in age, her artistic development has progressed at a rapid pace. Her fine motor skills, distinctively advanced for one so young, coupled with a natural eye for color and line have given birth to a very talented individual. She has quickly become part of our visual culture as her work is exposed and examined.

Alina has never been satisfied with merely creating a beautiful image. She rather envisions a story line that surrounds every composition. Her magical backdrops have developed names, while her figurative works have imagined histories. These stories have fed Alina’s creative appetite and have allowed her to be the artist that she is. Therefore, the storylines that develop as a result of her drawings and paintings are as much a part of the original artwork as the image itself.

Not all of us can envision the world as an artist but we can take great pleasure by viewing and sharing Alina’s creations with friends and family.
